You guys remember this shot from a year ago?

On saturday night, I gave a friend of the bride my card with that photo on the back, in which she says "this photo got you the job"

Because of the dress this bride was wearing, that shot is impossible to recreate, but i did get this (she is off the ground there as you may have noticed how much shorter she is compared to the groom), which is not perfect yet, something bugs me.....

removed coz i rather not show people unfinished work that i am not happy with. Will put it back when its done

Coool Mondo

I don't know, I would suggest making the bride and groom stand out a bit more, or making the background more noisy in order to create 'their moment'?

If I ever find some poor bloke to marry me, I am sooo having this type of shot for my wedding, but can I ask how you get the shots, do you get them to pose not posing (if that makes sense ) or do you just stalk people and take random shots. What I mean is, some of them you are obviously stood just a few feet away, but they dont look like they know they are having their picture taken at all.

Er, generally the posed one you can tell. Like the one in front of the car, the arch and the lake. They stood there for the shot, I just asked them to kiss and nothing else but they never hold a pose so their muscles don't tense up.

Shots like the girls in the doorway is a candid, not posed, same with the one in the car, and with 23 & 27 for example, they are caught in the moment. I generally just follow the bride all day, because it is her day. There are moments where i go off around the venue by myself looking for shots. If they see me taking a photo, i thank them afterwards and show it to them on the screen, people like that a lot.

Sorry I should have made myself clearer, I knew the posed ones were posed, even though they are lots better than the usual "smile for the camera" type. I get it now, just I know myself I hate it when someone tries to get me to smile, the better picture of me is when I dont know someones taking a pic.

Thanks for clearing that up, you really do have a brilliant talent

Apparently a good tip for photos is to put your tongue behind your teeth and smile. It relaxes your face and makes the smile more natural. Not tried it myself yet tho.
