I've gone for wood too - also because I've never had marble.

If I was presented with a wood or marble pin though and asked which one I'd like I'd go for the marble!

Wood as that (or a wine bottle) is all I've ever used. If anyone wants to buy me a marble one I'm sure I can do accurate tests to see which I prefer

It does but what you're rolling is less likely to stick to marble in the first place so you don't really need flour. Perfect for making pastry where adding extra flour isn't a good idea.

(Un)Fortunately I don't bake so will never really face that issue. I like the idea of marble, but there's something that feels nice about a big heavy wooden one between your hands.

Mummy Will does bake though. Her tarte tatin is rather scrummy from what I remember.

Depends on what it is being used for :P Wood or glass with plugs.

Never used a marble rolling pin. However I can imagine it being a lot better.
Not only does it weigh more and keep cool. I imagine he high polished finish that can be achieved will make it far less prone to sicking.
