For a comedic chase, yes. For pure chase, FC wins.

Up 3D.
Cried most of the way through it, including the little cloud animation that preceded it.

I must see this Up... it sounds awesome
We went a bit movie rent mad! Have rented: Knowing, Xmen Origins - Wolverine, Valkyrie, Quantum of Solace and Fast and Furious. Last night watched: Knowing I was well excited about this film. Been wanting to see it for AGES. Tis all about a list of random numbers scripted by an insane child 50 yonks ago, which happens to fall into the hands of Mister Nicholas Cage. Being some dudey lecturer of 1337 skills, he manages to work out by sheer coincidence and alcoholism that they're actually dates of major disasters and the number of people who died in them. And after deciphering a load of them... there's a few left with dates in the foochure (Duhn DUHN DEER) Exciting isn't it?! Thing is... it all goes a bit weird. Strange men who look like they're from Amsterdam appear and well things just happen very fast and I think some silly decisions are made. Ending is bizarre too. I like it... and think it would be great as a book (is there a book? Maybe there is)... but all a bit fast and too much unexplained and weird decisions etc... even for me. Brilliant effects though! I actually had to replay a disaster scene I thought it was so awesome! Hmmm... what to give it though... Picky says 6/10... I say 5.5/10 |

Superb ending! One minute before the end I was like 'Wouldn't it be horrible if...', and then it happened!
Sunshine Crew of seven head out to the Sun to deploy a payload and restart the dying star. Despite the unlikely mission premise the first hour is actually really good. Mistakes are made when they discover the original ship that was sent on the same mission but never completed its mission or returned. Unfortunately it goes a little bit too Event Horizon and becomes a horror movie, not a space disaster movie. At one point I thought I'd figured out what the twist was going to be, but it turned out to be something else that was gash. I should have written the end of this movie. First half: 8/10 Second half: 5/10
