I used to but my fingers have swollen Generally I could get it right though. I don't wear rings any more because I used to work in a freezing office and my fingers would be so cold that rings would get too big.

Perhaps I should start wearing them again!!

Is it true that rings can stretch over a period of long extensive use?

I seem to remember someone on here saying theirs bent and then broke after a gig where they were clapping / cheering too hard!?

Only one of my girlfriends in the past did, the rest have had no idea. Lana, as much as she loves jewelry and can spend hours just looking at rings and stuff in jewelry shops, had no idea what size she was when we went to get the engagement ring.

It most certainly is. It all depends how ductile the metal is - which depends both on the manufacture and the metal used.

I think I know my Mum's ring size. I have a couple of ring size guides here if anyone is suitably inclined, though I won't vouch for their accuracy (which probably isn't very good).
