Spec me a laptop :)
I'm having trouble finding a new laptop and need some help..
I've got a lovely HP at the mo and love it... what I detest are Sony VIAOs and the like which are over bloated, etc. Just want a fast, lightish laptop with a fairly decent widescreen (1280x800 upwards) Any ideas?

Anything by Acer. I've had one for a couple of years now and it's been the most stable laptop I've ever used, not a single crash despite being used for about 8 hours a day 5 days a week for about a year solid. I can't recommend them enough.

I love my Acer.. Bought it from Tesco Home (direct) at a snip of the price PC world were selling it for plus loads of ClubCard Points!

Acer or Dell. Check places like Tesco, the Dell Factory Outlet and refurbished hardware resellers - e.g. EuroPC - for bargains. Don't forget Quidco/TopCashBack.

I don't know why people bash Acer laptops, had mine for years and it's never missed a beat. The only annoying thing I can't strip the laptop screen apart as much I need to to get rid of a dead bug, apart form that, perfect.

I'm not the only person I know to have had this kind of experience so I'd say they are a bit hit and miss. |
