They're just 2.5" sata disks right? I assume the stock ones are 5400rpm?

It's more the reverse really - if I end up with a 250GB I might swap it with the 80 in the laptop. It would be slower, but bigger, not sure if its worth it (most of my storage in on my server after all).

I'll be getting one myself in the new year but it's pretty low down the list behind a new central heating boiler and amplifier.

Our boiler recently gave in - 2 years old! They dont make 'em like they used to

I'm justifying it more as a Blu-Ray player with some game capacity than the other way around, dont think I could justify either on it's own.
