Went to Comet today and got a new cooker. Then went online and saw Currys had the same one for £20 cheaper. Both of them charged the same for delivery and installation (of which I had already gotten £5 knocked off) but Currys do a free take away of your old appliance.

Went back to Comet and reported all of this and they took the £20 off and the £8 odd aswell for taking the old cooker away.

Every penny counts! Always wondered if they honoured this, I think too many people are just not brave enough to ask!

we always check price matches, usually there's some kind of sneaky thing in there that means they don't count, but every once in a while BAZINGA!

It's been a while.... Southeastern - the worst railway in the country:

"This morning I caught the 8.02 Charlton to London Cannon Street service and was on the second carriage of the train.

There was a toilet with HAZARD tape taped all around the doors and an incredible stench filling the carriage - it was like something had died in there.

I CANNOT believe that Southeastern would run a RUSH HOUR train in this state.

Obviously rush hour trains are at capacity with a number of passengers standing up and as many people crowded into carriages as possible.

This was an absolute appalling service not to imagine the Health and Safety implications that could arise from it.

If something is 'hazardous' surely it shouldn't be used? I have a picture to demonstrate that someone has noticed that the service was unsuitable for use, but obviously someone else has made the decision to run the train.

Thoroughly disappointed that this is what I pay my inflated rail costs for.

Regards,

Miss BB x

Lets see what they say... regardless I will be taking this to the next level with my pic.

BBx can I put you in touch with a lady on twitter who wants to organise a mass protest of sorts (email I think!) about SE trains? She has just got a big cheque from them following a recent complaint. Put you two together & they'd be quaking in their boots!

I often wonder how they find it acceptable to allow conductors to come to work STINKING of B.O!

The particular individual is very polite and friendly but they smell horrendous and work in an almost entirely public facing role; I don't think there is any excuse to have bad personal hygeine, but to think that their management does not reprimand them makes my mind boggle!

On a similar ground, a friend's facebook status the other day was:

Quote:
Train Conductor just farted in my face as he walked past. Ass chenoybl
Disgusting.

but still funny
