BT FTTC pricing and availability
Shamelessly nicked the link but those prices aren't bad! They have an address checker on there. It really stings that my parents house can get cable, FTTC and my house the other side of the main road can't
The telephone number checker is borked but if you click "I don't have a BT line" then it works fine. http://www.productsandservices.bt.co..._FURL_infinity |

Not even listed for us, but no great surprise. Good new is that in June 2010 I'll be able to connect at up to 9Mb. I'm currently typing this from my 20Mb connection

You git Through more tweaking I now have a max connection speed of 8.05Mb. That's it until something changes on the line. Be are trialling bonded lines but then I will only get 16mb for £50/month. At the moment 8mb is enough but this could change if we get more content online.

You're all feckers!
I'm stuck with Kingston Communications and Karoo without a single alternative. They give me a 2MB line and 10GB limit for the bargain price of £17 pm on top of line rental and calls. Bah. |

That site says the best I can get is "4.5Mb download" which by coincidence is almost exactly what I do get.

Back in the dialup days Kingston were great - 5p fixed local call cost, and logging into the local uni access meant I got unlimited internet for 5p until I needed to make a voice call
