You're welcome.
Hopefully you will enjoy FFXIII as much as I will of BFBC2. |

Ok, the first two hours had me worried, it was incredibly linear (like, you couldn't even turn even slightly left or right, it was just straight on or nothing) and the combat was a yawn-fest. But after a certain point the combat turned from the most boring FF ever to the most frantic, it's what the FFX-2 combat system SHOULD have been. I'm loving it!

It really has turned a fantastic corner after the slog of the first couple of hours.
Love the paradigm system and fighting on the whole feels much more interactive than previous FFs. Best of all it's the kind of game that makes me not want to stop playing which is always a good sign Edit: I'm surprised by the reviews suggesting it's incredibly tedious for the first 20hrs. I haven't found it to be the case, although I'm sure being a FF fan helps there. Who else has picked it up?

I'm biding my time a bit - times are busy, and I dont want to buy it if I cant play it. How are you finding it on 360 Jen? Without the PS3 version to compare it to right in front of you, does it look up to snuff compared to existing 360 stuff?

Looks lovely to me
I'm sure side by side it'd look inferior (there's plenty of screenshots to demonstrate that) but I don't feel like I've got an inferior product at all yet.

I think part of the problem is that the ingame graphics are so very close to the CG cutscenes, literally sometimes the transition happens without you noticing on the PS3. On the 360 however they're compressed so compression artefacts would take away from that seamless integration.
I imagine the actual graphics however are near identical.

I'll be picking up the 360 version at some point; the complaints haven't put me off and I still think it'll be a while until I pick up a PS3. I've decided to hold off until I finish Divinity II though; starting a 2nd RPG leads to trouble!
Is it me though but compared to the The Darkness, Orange Box, Bayonetta etc. 360 > PS3 there's a far bigger song and dance being made now a title is PS3 > 360... |

You hear the same things about every PS3 exclusive pre-launch too (and again defending them post-launch.) |
