Lozza, the GPS in the 3GS is also pants, and I doubt the one in the iPhone4 is any better. Some apps on the iPhone can use an external GPS - namely the TomTom car kit. I know CoPilot can and I think Navigon can, but don't know if any other apps can (besides TomTom itself, obviously!) |

^^ The GPS in the iPhone 4 is an AMAZING improvement over the 3GS
So much so in fact that you no longer need the overpriced TomTom car kit to get a signal Used it on a 500 mile round trip around the lake district and back (friend was driving) and it fit snuggly onto the dashboard. Locked on within seconds and didn't loose signal once!
