My laptop makes those sorts of sound effects. Normally I don't hear it because my other PCs drown it out, but this week those have been off and the laptop is otherwise silent (SSD and ULV processor that rarely gets even warm).

I only object to them because I'm quite happy with proper light bulbs and resent being coerced into using an alternative which, whilst they might be getting better simply aren't as good. I'm a stubborn bugger and the fact the proper light bulbs are being actively phased out just makes me want to use them even more.
