Ah, Steve Jones, the slimy Welsh man-tart from T4. Unfortunately he lives on.
Jobs was an innovator and a marketing powerhouse. I truly hope Apple keep up the same level of gusto in future products and promotions, in the appropriate spirit. Rest in peace.

And Pheebs works at Apple!
It is sad news indeed. An innovator, good man, horrid disease (my grandfather died of the same illness) and brought a new way to look and use technology. Definitely a sad time for the IT industry. Let us not forget Pixar either.

Wonder if the book will be pushed back later to include a new chapter?

He must have known at that point. In his graduation speech he talks about getting his affairs in order last time he was ill. (I think) He must have known so it will be interesting to read that section.

Ahahahaha!
/muppet Sometimes my brain goes kaputt. It's too much work that's done it! Mister Jobs! JOBS! I am rubbish! Glad I didn't get the tshirt saying "I am steve JOBs" for my interview now... it would be massively frowned upon now. Believe there's tributes outside stores now - am having to head up to one in a moment so will see what's going on. Greenpeace have even paid their respect... looks like he's managed to capture the minds, imaginations and hearts of the world. Top man. |

I must admit that I'm really upset. While I've only been a Mac user for about 7 years or so I've been a follower of Apple for years. Customizing Windows to look like OSX etc. I remember seeing the "Think different." advert and feeling proud of being an outsider, a geek, a bit odd. I remember playing with Mac's both System 8 and OSX and just feeling like it's something I should be using. And here I am in 2011, part of that big community that Steve created. An oddball, a perfectionist, someone who doesn't just settle for an app that does a job that desires the app to be beautifully designed. I put that same belief into my photography. Someone said that they're not worried about Apple because the company is filled with those sort of people. That's Steve's legacy. Yes.
