Beer festivals - especially local ones. Good ale and making friends is a cracking way to spend a day.
I was at the Sunderland and South Tyneside branch of CAMRA's beer festival in Sunderland yesterday and had a most agreeable evening. Other plans today but will be back on Saturday for more

This is going to sound awful...
 Was sposed to meet an old work friend for dinner tonight but knew id have to cancel due to hen do stuff etc & fitting in gym... She text me this morning to say she couldnt make it as was off sick. Phew! BB x |

LOL, did you not really want to meet her or were just a bit embarrassed you were going to have to cancel?
 Had something similar the other week when I bumped into my best friend from when I was a kid and whom I've not seen for 25 years. Was good to see him and catch up but made a point of not dwelling long enough for it to get to the "exchanging numbers or adding each other on facebook" stage
