That should be fine 360 is right next to the PC (obviously with a bit of a gap for heat) and the vga cable itself is really long anyway.

Apologies for resurrecting this thread but considering Dead Rising is useless on our big telly I'm going to have resort to a monitor. We have a few 17" CRTs here at work and I can probably leaf one will I be able to read the frigging text on that and apart form a VGA cable such as one of these what else will I need?

Well the cable finally turned up this morning so I'll get to try it out tonight. I actually got all the bits on Thursday but had to wait for the cable.
Does anyone know what the xbox looks like in 1024x768? Does it look pants? If it does I'll need to grab a monitor from work that does 1280x1024.

Well it is now setup on the TFT monitor at 1024x768 and I have to say I can now play dead rising wooooooo! There is a bit of tearing though that could be down to the screen but so far everything looks good. Just tried gears which was a little dark but I'm sure it'll turn out ok. So all in all...
VGA cable............................................. .£6 Phono & 3.5mm converter.........................£4 Managing to read the text on dead rising..... Priceless

Pedantic mode on.
MAPLINS is a fictional holiday camp, they don't sell electronic items. MAPLIN is an electronic supplies company. Sorry, it's a pet hate of mine. Carry on
