I could have had a 350Z I could have had an S2000 or the RX8

I wanted 4 seats and the RX8 was just weird when I test drove it, granted I like my cars small and sweet but for me my car is far more fun to drive, it might not handle like an RWD sports car. Admitedly I steered away from the other two because they only had two seats but the fuel consumption put me off the 350Z and the fact I would have looked a tit behind the wheel of the S2000 put me off that.

Give me that money and specify speed and handling over style and fun and I'd spend it on a secondhand M3/5 or a Carrera.

My boss has an RX8, I really don't like it very much. He loves it, but I'm not a fan.

For me its RX7 > RX8

Shame that there are sooooo many wrecks for sale. RX7 mint condition 56k or 58k, hmmmm and what tends to happen at about 60k lads?? There was a red RX7 Type R near me in kidderminster that was just amazing.

The rebuild costs do scare me a bit with those, as knowing my luck i'll get the bugger than runs fine, then bam 2-3k on a rebuild please I wouldn't have a clue how to do it myself

Bah, it's just like building a PC except you don't have to install windows afterwards

I thought the 350Z was a heavy and noisy old hector. Never really felt as quick as it should have.

The RX8 feels quicker that it is, plus handles superbly *once the tyres have been changed from the RE040's*

Both are better than the TT though.

Simon/~Flibster
I have driven both and thought the RX8 felt cheap and fragile , certainly not a patch on the 350z ( though i agree both are better than a TT )

No denying it felt well built (they did sort out the terribly interior plastics before going into production) but I found the handling a bit too lazy and that isn't what I'd expect from that sort of car.

At least the UK version I drove was better than the US one, that felt totally devoid of character!

It can be easily sorted out with a little suspension & geo setup though. Makes it a lot sharper.

I'd still want to turbo it if I had one

My mate at uni drove a Porche 911 Turbo to class !

This is in Wales, not Orange County......I had to double check, it even has personalised number plates....and he is my age.
