My E6600 Folds 24/7 at 3.15GHz, using a scythe Ninja for cooling. It also has crossfired X1900XTs, all of which, when overclocked, gives me a 3Dmark06 score around 10,500. Plays every game I've thrown at it at 1920x1200 with everything turned up

I have a nice E6300@2.8. It could go higher but I'm happy with a 2800mhz dual core conroe which currently idles at 41c
That spec looks good. I'd definately get a good cooler though. |

Nice spec! I'm tempted to do another hardcore machine at some point. Really like the performance abilities of the new Intels and this is coming from someone who has used AMD's since the early Athlon days.
I'm still using my overclocked opteron 146 @ 3ghz with an x1900xtx still copes with everything I throw at it. I can feel it quivering with fear when I go to a 24" Benq WZ and the new C&C/supreme commander comes along. What are the specs of your watercooling setup 8ball? |

Nah, the stock coolers are reasonably decent (and have been for a few years) but they can never compare to a good aftermarket cooler and they can be a bit noisier so considering the price of an OEM chip is usually about £15 cheaper you are about halfway there to getting a good air cooling system.

Heh Daz, my intel chip uses the stock cooler. You've heard how loud it all is

The Intel stock coolers now are much better than they were, but these C2Ds throw out a fair amount of heat when overclocked.
At stock, the cooler is more than adequate - if a little noisy. Stan
