This will sound weird but have you tested the HD?
I had a very similar problem for ages, changed the memory and the PSU. Turned out to be the HD on the way out even though it was meant to be brand new and worked fine (According to the ex admittedly).

If not I'd go with trying out a different PSU, just thought I'd throw out a random thing that happened to me
