In XP even without installing any drivers I get five volume sliders and options to add another 7-8 more.

I don't want to have to buy a new soundcard but I suspect it's finally time that I have to (the old one is about 10 years old so it's had a good run).

Any ideas?

If you do end up buying a new sound card stay the hell away from creative..i spent 60 quid on a sound card last year and its now worth a **** in vista till crative sort out drivers that make all the options work
