Now I'm stuffed. Just went to race the final level of the Corvette manufacturer races and I had the xbox hang up, which it's done before if there's a speck of dust on the disk. Took the disk out and it's got a ring of scratches just under an inch from the outside edge.

Cleaned it, tried to race again and after a few minutes loading the race I got a dashboard message telling me that it can't read from the disk. No **** Sherlock

Not really sure what to do now, I don't have my receipt for the game (it was bought cash from Currys) so I can't take it back for replacement but if the box is scratching disks then it's a bit worrying. I've never heard of that before.
