XP Home install..
I have a PC in which the HDD has failed. The owner has the license key (side of case) but doesn't have the original disks.
If I replace the HDD and re-installed windows from one of my XP install disks but use her license, will this work/activate legally? I can't see why not.. Otherwise I'd have to charge her for a new copy of XP home. What do you think? Thanks
