Car boot/Spring Fayre Trading (questions and all sorts)
I am probably going to start attending carboots/traders fayres now with my cards! Hoorah!
Just a couple of questions I thought I would ask to see if anyone can help me out! 1. Currently I am marking up x3 (which I think is about right) which means I will be profiting by approximately 80 - 90p per card). Does this sound okie as a starter? I think my cards will be selling quite cheaply at £1.20 odd... but once I get an idea of the market I can play around! 2. Anyone know whether they're able to beak a card display stand (for a table - fairly large too?) Or where I could go to blag one? (I R on the cheap! After all this apprentice watching I am looking to blag EVERYTHING I can for my business ) 3. Public and Product liability Insurance. To trade at my local booty I need to at least have Public Liability Insurance for up to £5million. I get what it is... and have looked on a LOAD of websites... but for the life of me I cannot find any blooming quotes! I think I have about half a dozen Insurance companies calling me on Monday... but off the top of your noggins, anyone know roughly how much dosh I would be paying out for that? (I'm a sole trader selling cards, I employ no one else and currently am making no monies! Don't need insurance for machinery or anything. Just basic stuff). I was curious whether you might know something here Pete after dealing with galleries and things? I'm so SO SO excited about it. Really am. I can't wait to sell my first card. Kind of wish I had a video recorder as I would like to make a diary of how I do this all and how it's all started and things. Dunno why. Just would like to - think it's exciting! I am sad aren't I? Getting excited about going to a car boot sale! *rollseyes* THOUGH! I am also looking to join in the fun with Exeters Art and Crafts season and do a stall there! EXCITING! Fankoo in advance for any help/silliness/wubs/abuse |
