Time to buy an XBOX360?

Just read this on the official ms site:

• 1 gamertag, 1 friends list, 1 list of achievements and gamerscore for your Windows-based PC & Xbox 360

So that could mean playing the PC version and getting all the achievements instead of playing the 360 version? If so, I hope COD4 achievements transfer over as I can let my dad play it on veteran on the pc for me
