Fireworks yay.

There were loads of people getting on the bus heading for Newbury hospital, which I thought was rather odd. I got home from Tescos and could hear someone on a tannoy (or so I thought at the time) booming out in the general direction of the hospital (wind obviously in the right direction), and as it was dry(ish) at the time I dropped my shopping (almost literally) and went to investigate.

I discovered Scratcham (a.k.a. Thatcham) fireworks. Cue turning up in trainers and squelching through a lovely muddy field. As I got there it started raining, but I thought 'sod it, I'm here already'. Anyway the fireworks were ace.

As soon as they were over I (and half the other spectators) scarpered. Just got home as it started to chuck it down.
