URGENT -- File restore

Ello,

Mate of mine just called, a support monkey has just deleted all his offline files on his machine with about 1.5gb of stuff in there (he deleted a weeks work!). Does anyone know the name of a freeware/open source tool he can quickly download to get back some of it?

I've had to do this before but I can't remember the name of the software that I used. Any suggestions?
