Asus Eee PC 900
My father came back today from Staples with a photo copy of an advert for an Asus Eee PC 900 for £150 (reduced from £198.67) with both Customer Return and Ex Demo boxes ticked and 10 month warranty written by hand at the bottom.
Spec listed as: 16GB SSD with Linux Celeron M 353 1GB RAM 1.3MP Cam etc. I've not kept up with Netbooks but I know that the 900 model has been superseded by the new Atom based Eee PCs and also that the 900 model was the second of its kind to be released. Does anybody think that the above is worth £150? I've been looking out to get my father a new laptop for quite some time now (current laptop is a Centrino 1.7Ghz 512MB RAM Evesham setup which has a knackered PSU plug and the third battery on the way out). The Evesham was purchased 4 years ago (I think) but it won't last long. |
