Reducing the size of an AVI file

I have a .AVI file that is around 6.5gb in size and I need it shrinking down to just under 4.7gb so it can go onto DVD. Will nero do this automatically or do I need to use other software to burn it onto disk Thanks __________________ PC & Console LAN 9th-11th July
