Short Circuit being remade

First reaction is Noooooooooooooooooooooo!!! Why cant they bloody well leave things like this alone, why do they need to remake them, and are film makers so thick that they need to resurrect old films instead of thinking up new ones.

I know theyve done well with certain films, but surely iconic ones like this, are best left in the past.
