Know why my machine has been acting a bit strangely since I went to dual core goodness.. cpu is sitting at 70 degrees even when idle

, about 21 degrees above system temp. Need to think about:

a) more arctic silver 3, I ran out whilst applying it but think I've got a good enough layer
b) switching to slightly higher air-flow fans.
c) cooling room down a tad
