It's certainly a risk. I have what I expect would be a slight advantage in I don't have to worry about the shenanigans the Windows version of iTunes can sometimes get up to.
When I get it I'll see how much the apps I want are and that'll guide my decision. Most expensive thing I want is likely to be decent navigation app (for pedestrian use). I'm not particularly keen on relying on Google Maps. One slight worry - I've already ported over to O2 on my old phone and I have to say the call quality tonight was pretty poor.
