Well I tried to load Knoppix and it boots form CD loads 2 files then screen goes blank and stays that way for over 10 minutes.
 Tried Sams CD drive in my PC and get the same results trying to load Knoppix and Windows as I do when using my drives. It's looking more like a mobo problem all the time. Oh well just have to start saving for some new parts.
