Never got round to watching it at the cinema so thought I'd pickup the Blu-ray for some in home viewing. It's certainly visually spectacular and it's quite amusing to see effects that would certainly work well in 3D look silly in 2D. I wasn't expecting much from the story line and I wasn't disappointed, the plot was as 2D as the Blu-ray (see what I did there, clever init ) but moved along at a much faster pace than I expected for the 2.5 hour running time. I suspect that in 3D at the cinema this film would blow your socks off (well visually anyway) but in 2D at home it's let down by a 'meh' story. 5/10 |
