Having experienced Major and Manic Depressive Disorders on a first hand basis (albeit not personally), I really dislike it when others make such trivialisations!
I've got a "diagnosis" ( ) of depression but I still try to say I'm feeling down or meh rather than "I'm depressed".
Similar thing (Kitten will agree with this one) people who say they get a bit down in winter so must have SAD.
