Cybersquatters have jumped on a domain, anything I can do?

I had a domain for about 5 years, it expired and because it was bought through a friend of a friend of a friend it wasn't renewed this year as I lost contact with them.

I've been keeping an eye on it waiting for it to fully expire, it's been a week or so since I checked and I just checked and it's been taken.

This domain is of no use to anybody whatsoever except me. The only reason it can have been registered is to try and make money out of it.

Do I have any right to this domain?

The domain is mb7uiv.co.uk. The mb7uiv is a radio callsign issued to me and me alone and can be of no use to anybody else, it's exclusively mine.

I'm really pissed off about this. I want my damn domain back
