Darrin's method of cooking burgers :
1 pound ground angus beef. 1 tsp ground black pepper. 1 tsp salt. 1/2 can Budweiser. 1 tsp onion powder. 2 eggs. 1 oversize bun. Enough process cheese for two slices per burger. Light BBQ with mesquite and oak twigs for smoke. Combine first 6 ingredients. Flatten beef out to about 1/2 inch thick and about 6 inches in diameter. Ensure BBQ is hot enough to attract every heat-seeking weapon in the world simultaneously. Slap beef patties on grill. When juices coming out the top turn brown, flip the burgers, place two slices of cheese on each patty. When cheese starts to bubble, scrape patties off grill and place on bun bottom. Spread condiments to flavour (ketchup, mustard and mayo for me) and proceed to get messy. Even though I don't drink, these are best served with a chilled beer (or three). Preferably the beer's in a thick glass that's been in the freezer for a few days.
