Default Possible Puppy Dawg on the Cards! YAY!

Hello hello!

I am FAR too excited at the moment! Picky and I have been discussing a while whether or not to get a puppy daaawg! After much thought and consideration and looking into finances and things we're pretty much 100% certain we can have one and give it a superb home!

Looked at a litter this morning of Border Collie Labrador cross... and they were GORGEOUS! We have one on "reserve" at the moment and well... YAY! If we do get it, we should have it within a week so need to get all the equipment to be prepared! EXCITING!

The only qualm we have at the moment is how long you can leave a puppy at home alone.

According to a number of internet webbys it's normally 1 hour plus an hour per how many months old they are (so 1 month old would mean 2 hours, 2 month old 3 hours etc). Obviously it all depends on the puppy dawg but what do you people think?

Work wise I can wangle shifts which would mean she would be alone for only an hour or two tops (that would start in 2 weeks time). Up until then, we're both around 24/7 to help her settle in! She's 5 and a bit weeks now... so by the time work comes about she'll be nearing 8 weeks!

I'm very excited! I miss not having a dog about in the house and know it's going to be super hard work training and things... but we've thought it through and through and it just seems right!

YAAAAAAAY! Will post piccies when we get them!
