Just went to Domino's to go pick up dinner and the lass behind the counter is from Cambridge!! (or at least near enough according to her)

I heard the accent (a few seconds of it anyways) and got it entirely wrong. Luckily she wasn't too insulted when I asked her what part of Australia she was form.

Then when she spoke a bit more I realised how far off I was and got it relatively close when I said she sounded like she was from somewhere around Luton and Northampton. So on second guess I wasn't too far off. She also gave me credit for not having been around any UK accents in 10 years and she's been over here for 5 years so lost a bit of her accent.

Anyways, just thought I'd share a little corner of your world I discovered in my little corner.....
