Question RE: Income Tax.

Right, so I started my new job 3 weeks ago and have just been paid yet no tax was taken from my packet...

I was expecting to get taxed from the get up and go.

It has been suggested to me that because I haven't been working since the beginning of the tax year until now that between now and april I will not have earnt over the Â£5220 tax free barrier so do not have to pay any.

Is this correct?

or is it likely that I'll get taxed on this money next month?

Just want to know roughly where I stand with the extra money that I've got here.
