SD cards - Sandisk Extreme III SD or SDHC

Which is the fastest - Sandisk Extreme III SD or Extreme III SDHC?

The reason I'm asking is in the past I've bought other brand SDHC Class 6 cards in the hope they'd keep up with my camera and they simply don't (they're fine for normal stuff but no good for continuous shooting). Indeed the only cards I've found that can keep up are my old SD Extreme III cards.

If the SDHC equivalents are sure to be as fast as the SD ones in my S3 IS, then I'm game as they work out slightly cheaper for the total capacity, but if not, I'd rather not waste any more money on cards that promise much and fall flat on delivery.
