Essentially it can hook onto any app and output the sound via air tunes stream (rtsp i guess?) so airports express/extreme are compatible. But with the Airfoil speaker software you can turn any laptop into an airport. How cool is that?

You can also stream it to yourself, so you also received the few seconds lag on the stream. Checking the network real time bandwidth it seems to peak around 150Kb/s with a minimum of 100Kb/s so not bad at all.

Really really impressed

Basically means i can have my laptop and all my music mobile to guests around the party and just set up wireless heads (laptops) hidden everywhere connected in all our rooms to different speakers.
