I don't know what it is like nowadays, but when I was in school we were taught the green cross code and had it drilled into us that crossing a road without looking and making sure it is clear could get you run over.

Yup, and yet, even in that wondrous past, people still got run over. What does that tell you?

To me it says that kids dont follow instructions 100% of the time. Never have done, never will do.

And so, when a child momentarily forgets to stop, look and listen it would be helpful if some **** wasnt speeding down the road in an effort to get home 3seconds quicker.....
