If you'd seen it I hope you'd remember it, it is one of the greatest films of the past couple of decades, almost certainly one of the greatest ever.

I've deliberately avoided this film on more than a few occasions now, it's got to the stage where the only reason I'll watch it is if I'm tied to a chair and even then I'd try and fall asleep instead.

There are quite a few films that I want to/should watch but haven't got round to because I fear I won't do them justice if I simply try and fit them in an odd couple of hours. Godfather Trilogy, the Dollars Trilogy, Citizen Kane, the Manchurian Candidate, The Magnificent Seven, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Dog Day Afternoon, The Deer Hunter and a fair few more that I can't remember just now. I actually own copies of most of them but it comes down to finding a suitable length of time and me being in the right mood to watch them all.

It's odd though, I've probably seen thousands of films thus far and for one reason or another I haven't got round to watching quite a few of the 'classics'. I only ended up watching Casablanca for the first time a few months back - big error of judgement not having watched it before.
