Been there four times now with work. Thanks to various redundancies and re-orgs it's highly unlikely I'll go back via work, so it's fairly unlikely I'll go back period, which is a shame. I'm a great fan of the Tar Heel state and even more so of the local delicacies (), but it's somewhere where it seems like a car would have to be pretty much a given, which wouldn't work for me for obvious reasons. As I may have also made clear before I'm not a fan of summer heat, and they certainly get that.
You're in a minority then. Most Americans I know don't like grits. Just the name was enough to put me off, but I'm not a fan of porridge either and they're at least distant cousins.
The name used to put me off, so I asked to try some and got a small bowl for free. Grits plus sugar is awesome.
