What do you call your parents?

I almost always call my parents by their first names but oddly once I reached 18 I became marginally more likely to call them mum or dad, don't have a clue why but suddenly it was part of my vocabulary.

On the other hand my mum is quite likely to call me by the name of one of her sisters, my dad's name or whatever family pet we've got at the times name. She's only got one child to remember, how hard can it be?
