Right, I'm going to try to contribute to this now. As I've made the decision a few days late, I'm going to cheat a little to make up for the days I didn't take any pictures. This was actually taken on New Years Eve, but I'm going to use it as my first picture of the year
010109 I quite like this one as it was handheld at 1/4 second in the freezing cold. I'm surprised you can even see what it is, I felt I was shaking constantly (as some of my other pictures that night show). Others to follow later when I get them off the camera

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. |
