I have to say, considering yours don't even have logos on them, i'd be inclined to say they were fake. However, yours do have some usual signs of genuine items such as a properly recessed mesh etc.

Christ, all this makes the extra money on less commonly faked models seem worth it alone

One issue that plagues the CX300 in particular though is that afaik, Sennheiser effectively buy in the case design and it's not exclusive, so in theory anyone can legitimately get those shells and use them for whatever they like.
