Well, I suspect the 'catch' is the fact it's actually pretty hard to break a PC during installation so they'll probably not actually have to pay out all that much anyway.

Really, nowadays with push pin heatsinks, screwless cases and so on, it's very hard to damage a PC when you're building.

Thing is, new builders won't know that so a scheme like this will maybe give them confidence to self build and to do it with Scan and not another parts retailer.

I know i'd be tempted by it anyway if I was lashing out £1500 on a Core i7 machine with a GTX295 in it!
