No, I'd think any wastegate big enough to handle that thing is going to make more of a "WHOOOOSH!!" sound, much like what I imagine the water flowing down the generators at Grand Coulee Dam sounds like!!
Don't all wastegates make fizzing noises because of the turbo rotating? Or something like that. It's only dump valves that make a whoosh noise isn't it?
