Android got very appealing the other day:

Very cool that - could come up with some really cool scripts I reckon. How much time I'd actually want to spend scripting on my phone though is another issue

It's also very Linux friendly of course, which is a big plus.

Main thing with Android is the lack of handset choice at the moment. I hear the Magic is a lot better than the G1, not seen it yet though.
