I'm so sorry - I tried to let this slide, but I'm turning back to teacher mode.

Respiration is not to be confused with breathing. Respiration is a chemical reaction within living cells in order to release energy and therefore is the same in all organisms. It is not the processes of in/exhalation or gas exchange. The confusion arises probably because of "artificial respiration" and other misleading use of the term.

Oh, and ducks don't "blow".. Actually, there's an MP3 of Donald duck being given a...erm.. <ahem> (maybe by Daisy Duck) now I think of it, from an American chat show
