Default Some unsavoury types dealing out the back of my flat

Had a lovely time at my little sister's wedding this weekend only to get a text this morning to say that all four bikes (two mine, two my mate's) that we keep out the back of our flat had been nicked. This obviously pissed me off but I think it was mostly due to the fact I would no longer be able to cycle to work which I love for various reasons (fitness, no tube, cheap etc).

Now I'd cheered up a little bit by the time I got home and had a word with one of the neighbours. She told me that she'd seen some people with a pit-bull clearly dealing drugs at the back of our flats (little cul-de-sac that side, main road on my side) and that someone else had had their iPod stolen from their kitchen this afternoon! Now I know I shouldn't jump to conclusions but I'm thinking this might not be a coincidence? I'm due to speak to the cycle team from the Met tomorrow and I think I'll be mentioning what else happened. I'm also planning to send everyone else in my flat block a note asking for information and urging them to contact the police if they've seen anything. I'm not sure I'll sleep much tonight, I'm not scared but this has really changed my perception of the area I live in. Its not the best part of London but its quite quiet and you never see any trouble. Anyone ever had to deal with something like this? I know I should leave it to the police but I thought letting everyone else know was wise.
